Hi guys,

As a hobbyist photographer, I've been eyeing a few large digital art/photo frames that's been popular on crowdfunding sites and forums.

I was thinking I could showcase a few of my proudest shots with them at home.

They're not cheap so I thought I get some opinions on it.

Thanks!

Does anyone have experience with digital art frames? Looking to buy one.

How about just buying an iMac instead?

I've done a number of slideshows on the TV, most for use at trade shows and every so often for friends at the house. I don't think I'm ready yet for a digital photo frame, although it makes for some interesting business opportunities.

For the TV, I make all the shots the same aspect ratio at the screen (if you are going to have verticals then have all verticals and hang the photo frame or TV vertical).

Selecting the shots, editing, sorting, selecting music - takes at least as much time as it used to when doing slide shows (no editing with the slides). What I like about normal prints is that people can look and look and they can get lost in the photo, with a digital photo frame they will just be waiting to see the next image.
