Thoughts on my 2nd try at editing photos

This is a picture of my dog Benny. Any suggestions you have would be appreciated as I am looking to hone my skills since I am just starting out with this editing process.

I'm sure others will give much better/more correct feedback, but I have two suggestions: (1) dial back the vignetting a tad, and (2) try to bring up the shadows if you can to see more of his right ear and left eye.

Aside from that, cute pup.
