Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Have a graphic designer working on a logo for me, he gave me these as potentials, dont know if Im really feeling either of them. The logo is for, "Pictorial Pleasures Photography". I kind of like the middle one, I thought on the last one a camera body might fit nicely under the "P's". Anyways, here they are, any thoughts?

Those are sweet. I like the last the best, but I dont know if it really fits the "mood" of Pictorial Pleasures.

yeah, it seems a bit modern to me, i think ill just edit the middle one a bit

when I think of the name I don't picture any of the above logos I think of something softer not so modern per say

I do like the middle one, but the slanted line in the middle is throwing me off a bit. Id say try it with a straight line so the perspective "makes sense" maybe?

+1

I'm assuming "Pictorial Pleasures" is the business name... None of them say anything about pictures and pleasure to me...

I see the graphic and the name 'Photography', but I don't see the name 'Pictorial Pleasures'. I think you need to include that when your designing your logo.

Agreed - "pictorial pleasures" needs to be in the logo.

I agree... I'm not feeling any of them.

The first one looks like a backwards lower-case "a" next to a regular one with the word "photography" underneath.

I just don't like the second.

The third I like, but it doesn't fit the mood of "Pictorial Pleasures" *at all*

I agree about having the actual words "Pictorial Pleasures" in the logo. The word "photography" is fully written out, so the actual business name should be too... otherwise it looks like the business name is "PP Photography". ...to me, anyway.

The last is best, but agree that the full name should be included. Perhaps in smaller font below tge logo. Also, I dont mean this in an insulting way, and perhaps I am just screwed up in my noggin, but "Pictoral Pleasures" makes me think "porno" so unless you are shooting playboy-esque shots, you may want to rethink your chosen name if you are just starting out and are still able to.

Thank you for that thought, but I rely on the timeless essence of the meaning, not on stereotypical thought.

Pictorial = "Relating to, consisting of, or expressed by pictures"
Pleasure = "A source of enjoyment or delight"

and uhmmmm......PP photography....sounds like PeePee photography......sounds a little off to some people

I don't really think of Pictorial Pleasures when I see any of them either. Also, if you have a graphic designer working on them, and you paid them, I wouldn't jack around with any of their designs.

And if you do jack with any of there designs, I'd let them know first.

And thats completely fine, just making you aware of the impression that it can invoke. If you are going to be trying to do a lot of work with kids, or schools it just might not be the greatest name choice. As a parent, I would want to investigate a photography company with that name before allowing them anywhere near my child. If my name was Rod, and I liked photography and bodybuilding, I still would avoid calling my "company" BigHardRod Photography. Although completely innocent, it probably wouldnt be doing myself any favors.

Anyway, I didnt mean to make it a big deal, just trying to help out.
