I think the way it is cropped it is more about the corner than the three amigos. I think another benefit of cropping down will be to get rid of the light at the left of the frame, which is a distraction. I also think the contrast should be lowered and the shadows opened a bit.

The larger is hurt by clipping the left corner.
Losing that person throws it off balance, I think and leaves only the 3 people on right as centers of interest.
They are in the shadow, the left corner is brighter and the brightest spot is the snd floor wall of the building.
A better result could be gotten from the original but this is a tough one.
