hi all !

i want to fix the problem of the apollo softbox tilit.

can i connect my tri-flash mount :

$1.jpg

to this regualr umbrella mount ?

$2.jpg

its possible - do you think that it will work ?

light stand ---> regular umrella mount---> triflash mount + 3 flashes and softbox.

thank you !

Can't see any reason why it shouldn't work - a spigot is a spigot is a spigot, BUT the one concern that I do have is that the rig might be a little heavy and start to droop. Out of curiosity, why do you want two swivels?

because i cant tilt my softbox (70x70) to 45 degrees.

i really dont like to use boom stand especially in outdoors.

any other solution or take a risk with the two swivels ?

EDIT:

by the way i found this swivel :

http://www.manfrotto.us/swivel-umbrella-adapter-lite-tite

his max Load Capacity is 5.51lbs=2.5KG.

my gear weight is:

triflash bracket=330g
nikon sb600=300g
x2 yongnuo 560ii=700g
softbox=450g
x3 rf603=192g (included batteries)
12 AA batteries for the flashes=288g
the total is = 2.26KG.

what do you think about the swivel of manfrotto ?
Can be fine or is it still risky ?

thanks again

mike thanks.. but i dont like to use on this way..

what do you think about my swival question ?

too much risky ?

Put this Manfrotto 026 Swivel Umbrella Adapter (Lite-Tite) 026 B&H Photo on the stand and mount your flash mount on top of that.

I don't know that you'd get 45 degrees though. You'd need to get a 5/8" X 12" or 14" piece of iron gas/water pipe from a hardware store and another manfrotto adapter to extend the umbrella out enough for that.
