Time for a new camera, need suggestions

Im not a big fan of my current Sony A300 camera.
It doesnt take very good pictures and its not very fast.
But hey could be me also

Anyhow im looking for a new camera now to replace or just buy an new extra
What are your suggestions on cameras for a beginner with photography?
What is the better brand these days? hehe

What DSLR should i go for?

Been looking on FinePix HS10 / HS11 | Fujifilm Global
Its not a DSLR but seems very nice.
And very quick and nice zoom.

I shoot a Nikon D7000 and absolutely love it! It's kind of the best of both worlds with it not being incredibly expensive but also having 16.8MP and shooting 6fps. Also having full HD video is pretty sweet to have!
