Tips for shooting and lighting of cars. . .

Hello all! I am a first time poster and new user to the site. I've been reading through pages upon pages of previous posts searching for anything and everything to do with automotive photography. A friend of mine offered me an opportunity today to take pictures in a studio setting for his online car sales company. It is a new bizness and they have a space but no lights. From what I've read on here I've come to the conclusion that I want to use those big lightboxes to diffuse the lights and not create any unwanted reflections in the cars paint.

However, I've never used large lights and I kno nothing about them. We plan on renting them until we find the ones we like and then we will buy them. I want to be somewhat informed so I can make this process as smooth as possible.

Can anyone here steer me towards some decent studio lights?
Also, will I be able to run these lights into my camera, (I have a nikon D200) or will I have to run them thru a computer?
Should I use tungsten halogen?
