Tips for Shooting Family Gatherings on Turkey Day

Hey Guys- Any good tips for shooting family candids during Thanksgiving? I'd really like to get some good shots of my 90 year old grandmother... a formal portrait never does her justice... Thanks!

I am definitely a beginner, but I love candid pictures where people have a smile on their face or are laughing. With family getting together I don't think it would be too hard to get either shot.

Just keep your camera out and keep shooting. If you just keep taking pictures (instead of making a big deal out of it), everyone will get used to it and probably not notice after a while. Good luck!
