Tips for vacation photos?

I was wondering, If I take A trip to Disney or something, (someone might be paying for a trip next year) a real touristy area with a high volume ofpeople , what are some tips on getting some good photos and not taking typicaltourist snapshots? Any cliches or common mistakes I should look out for? Any examples of photos would great!

Take pictures of things that are interesting to you.
Use your understanding of compositional theories, and apply them.

They're good for sure. That's one of the many themes I wanna try I just don't have the time right now

Personally, when I'm on vacation - I totally do the tourist thing. Pack light and have fun.
