I have a number of name-brand clothes I want to sell on eBay, but I don't know how to photograph them to make them look good. Any tips? I'm mainly looking at jeans, tops, shoes, and a purse or two. Thanks, all!

Do you have a dummy or are you going to use a model(s)? Clothes will never look very good on hangars or laying flat. The big secret however is your lighing. If you give us some information on your camera and skill/knowledge level we can probably help you sort something out.

Probably, the best way to sell clothes...is to put them on good looking models. The whole fashion industry is kind of based around that.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FP1 :( though might be able to borrow dad's SLR.

The camera you use, won't matter nearly as much as your lighting. That doesn't mean you need to go out and get a studio full of lighting gear...they could be shot in natural light. But either way, good lighting can and will make all the difference.
