tips to improve this shot?

I took this while on my break at work today. I was trying to capture my reflection off of a silver Christmas ornament.

Any ideas to improve? This was shot in Macro mode with a closeup +3 filter.

I find that when shooting a self portrait in a reflection, I like it better when the image of the reflector is crystal clean (no scratches, fingerprints, etc). Also I try never to shoot under fluorescent lighting.

What settings would you recommend? would this be better in natural light?

I love the idea, it just needs a bit of work.

The lighting does suck, the ornament is old/banged up as well.

This is what I had on hand to play with during my break at work today. I was going to go outside to take pics, but it was raining. So, I found something inside to shoot instead.
