I don't post them each day but I shoot them each morning for fun. Here's one from today.

sun was at the upper right, mid day sun, quite bright. Tried to capture it how I saw it so I got behind the flower to catch it lit up on the inside inside from the sun, I adjusted exposure to show the flower lit up from the sun without turning everything else into silhouettes...for the most part.

I wrote a blog post like a week ago about when to shoot nature and I said the middle of the day was one of the worst times. However, you seem to have proven me wrong so I will adjust it accordingly. Is it Okay if I use this image (with a link to your site/flickr/this post)

This is the post

Sure, I don't mind.

I agree, mid day sun is worst time to shoot and I struggle with it a lot, especially in the beginning. However, I believe you can shoot in any conditions if you adjust accordingly and improvise. When looking at my flickr, any bees and most spiders are mid day and many flowers.

but feel free to use the images if ya would like to as examples.

also, one cool thing about mid day harsh sun, is you can really stop down your ap'ture as well. some of the spiders I hit f/16 to f/22 to get great detail.....but contrast is an issue, lol

Cool, nice blog. Thanks for including me and my work. ;-)

Six months ago, it would not be the case...lol. It seems for whatever reason I always found myself out in mid day sun trying to take photos and being pissed as hell when I got back home. I never planned to be out in mid day, just how it ended up. Naturally my shots sucked. So I figured if I was going to be out in non optimal conditions...I might as well learn how to shoot in them. One thing I did learn...if you can learn to shoot in non optimal conditions...like harsh light, low light, no light, etc....when the conditions are right....it's so easy it's almost comical.

I suppose with the increased freedom due to the decreased need to adjust your shots, it would be :D
