The lighting is too harsh. It's obvious that the sun is in his/her eyes causing him/her to squint. That really takes away from the photographs in my opinion.

I like them. I guess the light in the first two is a little harsh, but I also like the shadows in those two, so it all evens out for me The light is more even in the last three, and the poses are really good. That face in Image 3 is adorable! Image 4 is cropped just a tiny bit too close for my tastes - it even cuts a tiny bit off the front nails and it almost cuts off his right 'elbow'.

The ears on that dog are killing me dead with the cuteness.
