Tonights small photoshoot

I was bored, so i decided to nag my Girlfriend to pose for me, and she dislikes being in front of the camera, but i still thank her for helping me out.

I know they are not that good, the lighting was just not working out for me today, i guess i just wasn't feeling it. but C&C is still appreciated. Oh yeah and the black shirt was a bad idea, but its the only thing she had with her. Next time ill be more prepared.

Great studio atmosphere....the 1st is lovely... what kind of light did u used?

Why thank you, i was using a single off camera sb800 with a diffuser and a white board for more diffuser to right of camera , and using on camera flash with diffuser.

Yeah im too cheap to afford one right now, so im gonna make one tomorrow or day after

yes...i think i will make a softbox from a cart board to lol...in israel studio gear is veryyy expensive...i am saving money for the canon 70-200 right now...my current lens is s**t :\ lol

Actually, the black shirt is perfect for the dark/black background. Many people don't realize, but it really helps your portraits when you match (or "key") your subject's clothes & props to the background. This causes the skin (face) to stand out in the image...thus drawing the viewer's eye to the face, which is where you want it.

The problem that I see, is that her dark hair is blending into the dark background on the off lit side. It's not terrible, and it can work well sometimes, but if you are going to include enough space for her head, then it would be nice to have some separation between her and the background. A light on her hair, or a light on the background could do this.

Theres little to no catchlights in her eyes. I don't know... thats a big must have for me. I love #3 though

Yeah i was working with one speedlight so it was difficult getting harilight , Thanks for the feedback

I don't know why she would hate being in front of the camera -- she's beautiful! Next time, maybe move your model out from the background to throw it out of focus. If you don't have the space for that, make sure your backdrop is uncreased.
