Totally bummed

My order from Adorama came in today (DPFSBGSPKT Photoflex First Studio BackDrop Support Kit, with BackDrop Crossbar Pole, 2 DP-LS933 Stands, & Carry Bag) and although packaged appropriately it is damaged. Paint is chipped and tubes have dings. Has anyone had experience like this with Adorama and how did it get resolved? I sent an email using their online form and will call in the morning I did take some crappy cell pics but they show enough damage to get the point across.

I have never had a negative experience with adorama, and have returned things with no issues. They'll get you taken care of!

I have purchased a handfull of items from Adorama with no issues large and small, I even made a rather large purchase that I had to cancel due to untimley financial issues, and they had no issues and it went with out a hitch or complaint. So I am sure that they will take care of you, Keep us posted on the outcome, especialy since it looks like the damage was done before packaging and shipping.

Are you sure you didn't buy a used one? That's a lot of damage. However, it probably got shipped from NY to CA, so who knows what the **** could have happened.

I would say it was the Photoflex packaging... or that it was packaged that way from Photoflex. I have ordered a ton of stuff from Adorama... and have never had a problem. Only returned two items, and that was my own fault for ordering the wrong things (and got the refund in record time!).

I do have several of the Flashpoint Lightstands, and a Flashpoint background stand... and they arrived in perfect condition. They were packed very well also. I am sure Adorama will make good on it.. but it also looks like that item is out of stock now. If so, you really ought to check out the Flashpoint gear.... good stuff!

This really sucks, it seems like it's just bad enough to not just say effit and use it anyway knowing it'll prob get pretty banged up over the years anyway, I'm pretty tolerant, but those dents would put me over and want a replacement or some kind of credit.

yeah... whatever you do, you dont want to go to the post office or ups store right now due to Christmas coming. It is crazy out there! Demand some adorma credit at least.

if not for the big dents in the main tube I wouldn't be too mad but one of them looks as though it could be a weak point if the stand is under a load? Either way if they make me an offer to reduce price significantly I will accept it. Like said, I am sure the damage was as packaged by the OEM and not Adorama. It was packed nicely by Adorama and the bag and contents were secure in plastic bags from Photoflex.

Glad to hear Adorama has good customer service, I'll report tomorrow what they do for me.

I actually had an issue not to long ago with adorama. I ordered a photo binder, and it was bent in half rendering it unusable. It was 25 bucks. I called them and they refunded my money immediately.

NOT HAPPY

Called cutomer service and the best they could do for me is $15 off or return for refund. I understand policy but damn that sucks. Have RMA form and they saied they'd email me a pre-paid UPS label so that's cool but now I'm out a backdrop stand.

Not Adorama's fault, I know but sure sucks none the less.

SO....any other suggestions since this kit is now out of stock? Flashpoint was suggested, any others?
