One of the cool things about having our building on the airport is you never know what you are going to see.

Today there was a P-3C Orion doing touch and goes. I was able to sneak away from my desk and get one set of images.

I agree. I usually shoot moving props at 1/640. I only had about 1 min to grab the camera, get out the door and get the shots. I happened to have my speed up at 1/1000

Here is one I captured at their main base on the other side of the state about a year ago. It is shot at 1/640.

Works well for helicopters also,
