I have a Nikon MB-D11 Multi Power Battery Grip that fits the Nikon D7000. I grip is in pristine condition, used only a few times. It was purchased brand new from Calumet/Penn camera last summer for the cost of $229.95. I would like to trade straight up for a 50mm F1.8G lens in excellent condition. If your lens says 1.4G, I'll take that as well. ALSO, have a D7000 for sale if your interested. Contact me for pictures.

What is the real difference between the D and the G? is it really significant? Is one the equivalent to Canon "L" series or something?

Wow. You should be grateful people are actually bumping a thread for such a self entitled 14 year old.

Bad luck with trade.

Coming from a Canon user (and knowing the OP is too ignorant or uptight to answer)....

D series lenses are the older model, but they allow for AF in cameras with a screw drive motor (D90, D7k, D300, etc). The D stands for Distance IIRC, they also have an aperture ring. G series are the newer lenses that also have AF motor inside them so cameras without a screw drive motor can AF with them (entry level Nikons). The G stands for Gelded as it does not have an aperture ring.

Someone who's more in tune with Nikon and isn't as rude and immature as the OP can probably chime in.

You are right. The AF is just auto focus. The AF-D communicated the distance with your ttl flash. AF-S is auto focus silent wave... They work with all basic nikon dslrs and above.

The presence of an aperture ring wouldn't be a negative thing, I mean it doesn't negatively effect it's use on a modern camera, does it?

Thanks, Tyler, for that info. I'm guessing the OP doesn't really know the difference, which makes his "need" for a G lens absolutely ridiculous IMO.

Good luck selling your POS grip, and good luck to anyone that actually wants to deal with a jackass like this guy.
