I like the first one quite a bit. The view seems endless. I probably would have composed a bit more to the right and left the fence out of the shot, though.

The 4th one something wrong the croping or maybe has to do with rules of third maybe just me

I do quite a bit of railfanning myself, here's a few of my shots. These trains are typically moving from 50-60mph sometimes more, depending on the location, so they are extremely difficult to catch a good shot of one.

I should probably go back and reprocess some of these I have much better software now.

It also pays to know the schedule of the trains so you can get into good shooting locations.

As soon as I saw the first picture I said to my self that looks like one of the trains that runs through concord and then saw you were from mass.
