Transition - Abstract for CC

I'm having a hard time deciding which view I like best. I know which way I'm leaning however I would like some input from others and whether it works for you or not and why.

No. 3 seems to put the "weight" of the shot at the bottom balancing things out.

It's wind blown snow that has crystallized on bedrock.

It depends on how the snow is crystallizing in my opinion. If it is going from top to bottom, then 1, if from bottom to top then 3

I only pick #3 because in the West we read left to right, top to bottom...and the shadows in #3 work best in this configuration..and since it is an abstract, having the crystalization process reversed doesn't mean doodlely squat, eh.

Pretty much lol.

I like #2 as it gives it a different feel and variation. As a horizontal I prefer #3 as well.
It reminds me of an overhead view of mountains poking out of the clouds and or rough waters against a rocky shore.
I do find though that Flickr darkens it as when I look at it in PS & LR it's not as dark and you can see a little more detail.

I like the first, maybe because it is a little unbalanced. It doesn't look too dark to me. It did on my work monitor, but that's not good on shadow detail, so I try to look at dark images at home.

Sounds good, I'm curious to know if it is or not. It definitely is on my iPad, though
