I saw that your planning on buying a shutter release with a shutter lock. I got mine the other day. Thing works great. If your looking for a Loooooong cord, then this isn't the shutter release you will want. But if not this thing cost $0.01 and $5 with shipping.

You might Check the voltage range of your chargers. Often they are 100-240V 50/60hz, in which case you just need a simple plug adapter, no need to change the voltage with a transformer.
