Traveling with your camera

I just traveled with my camera and lap top. I put my purse in my suitcase, keeping $$ and credit cards with me. I have a backpack carry case for my camera and my laptop case. I traveled SW airlines.

I just figured if they gave me a hard time I would say one was my purse. ???

Thanks for the tips all! I'm going to either find some small individual protection cases for my body + lenses and use my existing pack (an Ohmetric backpack) or just get a combo body/lens/laptop bag.

But I agree, carry on is the way to go!
