Bayamo, Cuba to be precise. I am from and live in Puerto Rico; my father is Cuban and migrated to Puerto Rico at the age of 15. He's gone to visit his family(he came with only his immediate family, parents, brothers) a few times in the past 15 years. Only now have I been able to go.

It was an amazing experience to visit this beautiful country and finally meet half of my family. So without boring you too much here some of my favorite pictures from the trip. They were pretty much snapshots as I didn't go to take pictures, I simply brought along my DSLR. I decided to enjoy and let everything sink in instead of spending my time looking through the viewfinder.

Anyway, here they are. I'm only allowed to post 8, so if you want to see the rest(88 total) you can see them all here in my Flickr set: Cuba 2010 - a set on Flickr

Nice set. Cuba seems to be a neverending source of interesting images. The one that caught (and kept) my attention was #1 -- I had to look three times to make sure it wasn't upside down. Scenes like this are never easy to frame but I think you succeeded. The image has it all: movement, colour, texture, balanced composition. Some may say it lacks a subject; abstract images can get away with that. Thumbs up from me.

Thanks a lot! It's my favorite image without a person in it that I've captured.
