Tripod + Ballhead from Really Right Stuff

New to your nice forum
Got my 5D3, Kit 24-105 and 100L prime

Now, tripod + head time

I heard lot of praise on the Really Right Stuff.
A small-ish US company (California?), I believe

Being a UK buyer, is there any way to save some cash when buying their goods
I don't want used stuff on eBay

Has any UK forum member bought from them?
Were you clobbered with the full VAT/import duties on top, or was it less than our astronomical 20%?

Please advise on what you know about buying their goods

RRS is great gear (can't offer any help on the import question, sorry), but they're not the only pony in the circus. Manfrotto also makes good gear, as do a number of other makers. I'm curious though, as to why you don't want to go used? Tripods are one of the best buys on the used market. Of all the tripods and heads I've bought (quite a few), only one of each was ever bought new, and I've never had a problem with any of them. It's a great way to get a LOT more for your money.
