tripod questions

I searched long and hard for my tripod. Honestly, I was tapped on cash to spend the big bucks on the proper tripod. I found the SLIK PRO 700DX at $150 to be the best "go-between" tripod on the market. I've had mine for a while and it's a beast (10lbs) and holds my D700 w/ 70-200mm lens no problem. I'm not a big tripod user so I can't talk about daily use but for the 2 times a month I break it out, it has served me well. My $.02
