Trying a new idea

Hi all just trying out a new #to me# idea
I am trying to do strobe close up photos.
Here are some early efforts

Quite slow strobe 10hz down to 5hz
I was just playing with the idea. These pics were ad lib, guess the place where to drop the items time the start
Hand trip the flash
Dropped the remote trigger and not the item more times than enough
Trying to set up more method and not so best guess
I put a mark on the table where to drop item.... but of course in the dark can’t see the mark

Well I have played with the idea and practiced more
Managed to get a few better shots, the keep rate on this is v low
The flash fire rate is 5hz, 7Hz, and 20hz all @ISO 200 F 5.6

Very cool. I like the way the light falls off as the object moves to and from the light source. I can think of neat experiments like flagging the strobe or imagine a ball with a light inside it! Thanks for sharing.

A coin spin, tried this, focus is off and my hands protested at the coin spin. Will not be doing again lol
