Had some free time so I thought I would set up my gear and try take some portrait of myself since there are no one else around.

Light at camera left and high with a white board at right as reflector since I don't have one right now.

The studio lighting pros here can help finetune your technique for you i'm sure, but as general feedback it looks quite good to me. imo a slightly distracting dark shadow on the chin, a little more detail near the roots of your quiff, the left eyebrow is a bit dark. I really like the directional light though. Nice modelling on the features. The picture has style and you are photogenic.

i like it all but the part of your hair that gets lost in the darkness

I think it looks great. Nice job at not getting that "Floating head" effect.

i really like it, a little bit more light of your front hair would have been nice.
