Thanks everyone! I'll try and gauge my saturation more for normality. Frisii, I wish I could shoot raw, but I only have a sony hx100v(but it was free). Maybe the photography Gods will take pity and send me a real camera!

If you spot a cheap Canon IXUS or Powershot, you can download CHDK Wiki firmware onto the SD card and boot the camera off of it. Allows you too shoot RAW, amongst other hacks. The original, Canon firmware in the camera remains unchanged.
