Trying to post

I'm a noob myself, but I'll toss my opinion in.

The little black line in the background is distracting, as is the little pice of whatever hanging off the top tip of the flower. I think a picture from a little bit of a higher angle would suit this better, you kind of lose the smaller curve without the inside shadow on it.

Feel free to disregard anything I'm saying, ha.

The line is from our fence. Thanks for your thoughts. I love feedback.

It seems a bit dim to me, but I'm not a photography expert. Maybe it's the shadow mentioned above.

I think in terms of stock photography that I could use in a project (I do software).

Feel free to ignore me. :)

Easily removed in PP.

I think a little boost in contrast would help, too.

The thing that has struck me was the flower seems to blend into the background. A definite increase in contrast would perhaps help it stand out a bit more. I find the composition to be pleasing.

Remove the black line in PP. Also I would clean the flower up a bit too...the little black specks and such on the flower itself.

I own a canon rebel xt with a EF 75-300mm standard lens. I am looking to upgrade and want sharper photos using a long lens. Any ideas what to look for. Thanks
