IMHO the photo would be better without the lens flair.

yea, some like flare, others don't. I've got quite a few others without it, but I haven't processed them all yet!

I like the flare, I think the photo would be somewhat 'lifeless' without the flare but that's just me. I like the hills and the tree in the background. Great shot
