Turntable Saved.....!

Hands up all of those on TPF who actually remember turntables as something other than a novelty!!!

Me! :cheer: My first memories of actively using a turntable was spending hours next to one when I was about 8 years old, trying to memorize Side A of 2112.

I need a turntable.

Mine was the first Led Zep LP, I stole from my older sister.....

I had Queen on 8 track!
AND the "another one bites the dust" single on 45.

Belonged to my Grandparents, went to my Mom and now it is mine. Even came with 76 of the old 78rpm records. Including my favorite Five Foot Two, Eyes of Blue.

That's fantastic! We used to have an old cabinet turntable. It had a big speaker under the turntable and the storage to the side. It did play 78s but we didn't have any. Didn't stop me from playing 45s on 78 though

Chicago's LP is my favorite so far. The one with 'Skin Tight'. It's funkylicious and not anything like most of Chicagos stuff.

Nice. Ive got a rega.

I find the more manual, simple ones, with a quality tonearm, offer better value than a more automated one which then had to skimp on the tonearm, though.

That Rb300 tonearm is a work of art

This is my everyday player, nothing great, a Technics (DD) SL-D2



I also have a direct drive Technics SL-Q200 I use to put LP's in the computer.
