Turtles and Turtleheads

An Eastern Wood Turtle along a small lake, and a bit further down the lake

is a native wildflower that derives the name turtlehead from it's resemblance to the critters.

Turtlehead made me laugh. School boy, I'm not ashamed

The focus is slightly out on the first. It seems to be on the shell and the head is a bit soft.

The second is very good indeed. Nicely lit in what looks like harsh lighting conditions, good dof and the focus spot on.
