Two Balloon Shots for C&C.....

I'm rather fond of the second one. Fairly unique shot. Most wouldn't know what the first shot was unless they were told, although it is sharp and clear, with good color.

I like balloons, so I'm kind of biased... having said that:

The first shot is cool, but nothing that really catches my eye
I really like the second shot. It's really cool that the flames from inside the balloons are lighting them for the shot. I need to get with my friends and go ballooning again now!

cool shots. first shot i think you should put the top of the balloon closer to the center, i think its too close to the corner.

I like the smiley on the second one. but the cut off of the top of the balloons is kind of subconsciously annoying, ya know what i mean?

I wish there were hot air balloons where im from!

Good job for your first CC... people here usually spout off a few hundred "Those are nice" posts before they say something meaningful.

The first one, the balloons was filling at the time (hence how I got a photo of the very top) So the crop and top location was necessary for the photo. I liked it because it is a part of the balloon that is very interesting, but no one hardly ever sees it.

For the second. Cutting off the tops of the other balloons was again needed- cropping so that they were all in view put far too much dead space above the smiley.

Here is another snapshot from the day, not looking for CC- just sharing because I like it.

The first one is awesome. The second is great too, but that whole "row of hot air balloons at nighttime" shot has been seen tons. I think the first one is a fresh new perspective and plays on the nice lines, colors and shapes. Good work!
