In #1 the issue with the intended main subject is is has insufficient scale in the image to have the visual weight a main subject needs.
Well over 50% of the phot is out of focus and it has a very bright portion that instantly attracts the eye away from the intended focal point.
in other words the bright spoy has more visual weight, by dint of it's brightness, than the intended main subject.
In art the concept is defined by the homily - light advances, dark receeds. In other words the human eye is first drawn to the bright parts of a scene.
