Two From NYC for C&C

I went to NYC today and brought along my trusty E-P1 and Oly 17mm. I snapped these two pictures while walking down the street, I cropped them and adjusted the colors a little bit in post processing in Lightroom. Sorry for the compressed size, when I upload them to photobucket it compresses them.

Decent Portraits! I feel like they would look better in black and white. I think moving in a little closer on the man in #2 would have been a good idea. #1 seems to be crooked.
Interesting subjects though!

I feel like they have more personality IMO. However that is a personal taste. Its up to you if you like them. :thumbup:

Since the guy is looking to his right i don't know why you cropped more space to his left, it should be the other way round. I think #2 would be better with a wider landscape crop as it already looks sort of spooky and mysterious i wana see the surroundings around him in black and white.

on #1 i cropped it that way because there was a sign cut off to his right. It looked like this

Thumbs up on the crops. It would have been better to have guy #1 looking into the frame, but axing the store window display was a good move.

This is my very first post in this forum! It looks to me that #1 could be sharpened a bit. It also looks crooked. The black and white gives it more emotion.
The second one - it could be because it is so small on my phone but it looks like the person is OOF and the background is in focus.
