Well, the botanical garden, anyway.. I've been working to improve on my macro photography, and would love some C&C on these two. Lens for both is a Nikkor 105mm f/2.8 macro.
1. f/13, 1/40 My own critiques on this one, would be the little bit of motion blur on his antenna and head. I actually liked the motion blur on the proboscis. Made him look like he's hard at work..
There's also something about the juxtaposition of the colors in this one that I really like. Don't know if the saturation might put some people off.
2. f/14, 1/125 I couldn't tell if this guy was saying, "If I don't move, he won't see me," or "Get away from my leaf."
3. Same, just tighter crop.
