Burning some refuse in an old oil barrel at my buddy's place:

It was pretty cold out but we stuck next to the fire and had lots of fun taking photos. I really like the surreal-look of the background in the first photo. I like the action of my audio technician buddy in the second as he stirred up the fire.

I should take more photos of fire soon...perhaps some long exposure stuff and/or what-not...

where do you live that there is still snow on the ground. I live in central alberta and its hot as hell up here.

Yeah, they're a few months old. I have a ton of photos on my 'puter grouped according to dates taken...I had run across these ones I forgot about...I hadn't forgot about that day though...I was out there with pizza and ice cream for our Green Cheese night (a weekly radio trivia show Saturdays from 7-9pm that also streams on the internet at Green Cheese Online and you can learn a tad more here: About Green Cheese)...
