Ugly ducklings of the duck world

Wasn't sure exactly what they were when I saw them other than that they were some kind of duck. The wife thought they were turkeys. These Muscovy Ducks are wild in Mexico and South America but domesticated ones can be found in in the US and Canada. Just had to get some portraits of them.

Thanks guys. These two were located under a bridge. At this pond there are many signs not to feed the birds but this cute little old Asian woman would sit out of sight beneath the bridge and feed them a mixture of water and grains. They would just cuddle up next to her. Wish I could've taken a picture of that.

I have seen a few over the years and they are just as ugly in person
