Um, paper filters? Who would have thought!

Just noticed they all seemed to be using black card. I guess that's to make a bit of a vignette if they don't make the cut out small enough.

Drewski, Maybe that's why you're were a bit hazy - coz the cut outs went right to the edge of the 'filter'. From my quick reading, the cut outs are meant to be within your aperture diameter.

Yeah, I found out that my shots are hazy because the paper I'm using isn't perfectly opaque and it's acting like a diffuse filter (as well as a warming filter). I'm going to try a more solid material to see what changes. I think the haze and confusion makes the shots more interesting though.
