Unchained from my low ISO slavery!

This was just another test. I shot this hand held at iso 1000, late in the evening.
The Olympus O-md E-m1x is for real. I am really enjoying this camera and its capabilities.
Silent operation. It's really really quiet. I'm kinda learning it as I go. The color accuracy is so good and just the way it feels. Hard to explain. I think Olympus knocked it out of the park with this camera.
I probably could have done better with this image. I didn't have a lot of time this afternoon. Hope you are all well.

This came out well. Not surprised. Usable photos at 1000 ISO are easily achieved with today’s cameras.

I want to thank all of you, now, while this post is riding the top of the list. As some of you know, I don't like bumping my posts to the top.
There are some great people here who happen to own cameras and do the same thing im trying to do.
I have a long way to go in this. All of yours encouragement means a lot to me. There will be images along my way that are not good.
I feel like my photography has come a long way since joining this site, because of all of you.

I have been studying composition. I been trying to beat up on Kirk. And it hasn't been working out well. lol
I mean, I been getting these shots and trying to compose properly and then here he comes with with an owl.
I have never seen an owl in the middle of the day under blue skies. But he has! I'm telling you, the Kirkster is cheating.
I don't know how he's doing it but I am going to find out. Then it's gonna be on like Donkey Kong.

Keep on studying, reading, and learning. When you have a tool as nice as this one, you almost never can blame the camera for your failure to get a shot. I started with old crummy equipment from the 1950s, and recently owned two very fine cameras, the Nikon d3x and the Nikon D800. If I missed a shot with either of those it was almost always my fault. With many lesser cameras that I have owned over the past 25 years,at times the equipment was not up to the task.
