Unseen potential

I took this photo awhile ago and I didn't know anything about photoshop at the time. I went back in and messed around with it. I'm starting to really dig photoshop lol.

You should probably be looking into photoshop a tad more, then. This particular photo looks a bit oversaturated and over contrasted. The whole "nest box" or whatever it is is blown out, and the focus is on the grasses in the back.

I plan on messing around more with photoshop. I'm just starting to understand little bits of photoshop so I'm no where near perfect. I just happened to like this photo.

If possible, go for a reshoot with the subject being in focus and not blown out. Then mess around with that copy in photoshop.

Ya. Good exposure > post processing. Ideally Photoshop is just for tweaking or enhancing an already good photograph. That being said... its not always an ideal world.
