Hello! I've been lurking around the forums for a while just reading and taking it all in. I've been shooting with a Kodak Z650 point and shoot for about 2 years now. Recently I've been getting out of the auto-mode and I've started shooting using the manual modes. I want to upgrade to a dslr so I can keep progressing and so that I don't have to deal with the crappy interface anymore.
My budget is on the lower end of the scale, around $600 dollars and I have no problem buying used or refurbished. I'm not to worried about buying lots of lenses, I just want a "do it all" lens and then maybe a second lens later on.
I like to go on day trips and just shoot whats around. So most of my shooting will take place outdoors in the city, forest, or beach. I tend to do a little bit of portraits and hardly any low-light shooting.
So, what do you recommend? Thanks a lot!
