Define "Best". Is it simply more expensive? Is it simply full-frame vs. crop-sensor? More bells and/or whistles? Or is it perhaps something that suits what the person shoots? What makes a camera body "Best" for every situation and every photographer?

........ Define what your needs are and then determine the best camera fit for those needs.

My advice to choosing a camera is to print out the specifications for the two or three most expensive cameras in different manufacturer's lineups. Then go through those specs one by one, line by line, and determine if that is something you either need, want, or don't care about.

Then once you have your list of needs, find the cameras that all meet them. Now apply your budget to them. If your budget allows you several choices, then start adding your want list to the mix if you feel like splurging.

If your budget can't get a camera to fill your needs, then it's time to either re-evaluate some of the needs to wants, hold of buying until you can increase your budget, or look into buying used/refurbished.
