I been using web cams, camera phones.. I want to make photography into a career my pathetic camera phone photos just wont do anymore.

Can you recommend a simi cheap but also good quality for a newbie photographer?

Few questions:

1) Define "cheap" as a value in money. Even if its just a rough value you need to give us some idea of what cheap means to you.

2) What kind of photography do you want to move into? An idea of what situations and subjects you do and would like to work with is key to making an equipment choice - especially if you're on a limited budget and will likely have to grow whatever system it is you buy into over time.
