Upgrading

I currently own a Nikon D80 and I'm thinking of upgrading to a Nikon D3500 or Nikon 5600. which one should I go for?

That is only one of the many improvements since the D80
to be considered.

If you are interested in and want the articulating screen, then the D5600 is your only choice between the two camera's that you listed.

There are a lot of similarities between the D3500 and the D5600. Both use the same 24 mp sensor with no anti alliasing filter. The three main reasons to go with the D5600 are the articulating screen, 39 vs 11 focus points and AE exposure bracketing. All three are critical to me so I would go with the D5600.
