Nice series. Mannequin heads, wig, holders and such (anything that has roughly the contours of the human face) make absolutely fantastic pracice subjects for lighting. You can learn more about lighting in an afternoon of playing around lighting one of those than you can running around willy-nilly for a year. The thing I really like about mannequins is their pay rate! And they stay put when you place them! ;)

Thanks Didereaux. I have been fascinated by how they light them and have been taking notes. It seems the more expensive the department store is, the lighting is much better on their displays . 4, 5, and 6 had very modern displays inside and window. First ones I have seen that have human like features.

This is the kind of subject that you should keep shooting, over a long time frame. The day's lighting outdoors can help, or hinder the shots. The outdoor lighting plays a big part in how reflective the window glass is. Sunny day will look very different than a clouded over day. I think these are based mostly on cubism principles, and seeing different planes in the same image.

Thanks Derrel. Do you think 1 is hindered by the huge sunny day, clear sky reflection?

These are very cool I really like the 3rd one with the hat. I do wish the reflection in #1 were a bit less...

These are pretty cool!

I think too the first one is rather busy, and the 4th is a bit in too close with smaller shapes that don't seem as balanced as the others. I like #5 particularly.

No, especially not with the tiny figure of the woman stepping squarely into one of the light squares.
