Hello all, I am looking to buy a used light meter, I shoot with off camera flashes(285Hv's) indoors, I have a home studio, right now I am on a budget so I can't afford a $300+ light meter as much as I would like to. I have been check some minolta's on the web, ebay has a couple MINOLTA AUTO METER IV F W for about 139.00-$150, adorama has one for about $180. I might be able to spend $250 but I think that is the max, if there are any suggestions on a new one around that $ I will be more than happy to entertain it.

Anyone can provide some advice on what models should I stay away from and what to look for? When I have bought pre-owned equipment I usually stick with Adorama or B&H.

Minolta meters are excellent. I use a Flash V as my main meter; I don't think you'll go wrong with any of them. You could also look at the analogue meters such as the Luna Pro F; a top of the line meter in it's day, and still very useful (albeit not quite as flashy as a newer digital one). Minolta, Luna, and Sekonic all make excellent meters, and you're not likely to go wrong with any of them.

Here's a smoking deal. If you are a student or know one, you can get a
Sekonic L-358 BRAND NEW for $249 from BHPHOTO.

Thats cheaper than I found them on the craigslist!
