Using 2 camera platforms

I was just curious if I could get some opinions about using 2 different camera platforms. I currently use the Nikon D3100 and I have a 35mm Canon Rebel G and I have been thinking about picking up a digital Canon. Please share your thoughts

That would be extremely annoying....

Twice the weight.. but not the benefit.


My preference is to have two of the same (or similar) cameras:

* same batteries
* one charger
* same lenses
* same accessories
* No Mental Task switching when swapping between the cameras since both will operate in the same manner.
