TBH at places like this, dry and brown and canyons (don't know what such land is called, we don't have any in our area), I personally like mid day shoots, not at golden hours, because they induce a feeling of heat and desertness, but hey that's just me.

Nice shoot, absolutely love the #2 and #4.

Good stuff. Now try some of the slot canyons in S.Utah and N. Arizona. Or hit Logan Canyon up north when the aspens are changing. Lots of tremendous landscape photography options in Utah.

Beautiful beautiful shots. I love the red rock desert formations. They're like perfect art all by themselves, orange and blue complementary colours. #2 is my favourite, such a vast expanse and your photo really captured that.

I actually really like #1 as well. I always wonder why and how a landscape photographer chooses to convert to B&W. I almost never think about doing it. This is a good conversion though!

Thanks for the compliments! I find landscape photography to be the most challenging sometimes. It's difficult to capture perspective, if that makes any sense.

Good stuff. Now try some of the slot canyons in S.Utah and N. Arizona. Or hit Logan Canyon up north when the aspens are changing. Lots of tremendous landscape photography options in Utah.

Here's one slot canyon we explored! We also hiked the Narrows in Zion. Beautiful, but hiking in a river for miles on end can get... inconvenient.

Thanks! I never really grasped how massive and beautiful that part of the country is. Now that I've seen it myself, I notice how companies (Adobe, Apple, etc) use the landscape for advertisements all the time! We'll definitely be going back.
