Vancouver Island

Here is one of the view form Vancouver Island looking west, to the Pacific.

I ran it through PS to try and bring out some contrast. This picture is pretty old; I didn't have a firm grasp on basic camera work yet, so it was terribly washed out and bland. Oh well..

Tell me what you think/what could be improved upon, please.

The second is much nicer on the eyes, but I am sure that the sky was very difficult to get in the first, it must have been that kind of sky that makes even me (who I never wear any sunglasses, ever) wish I had some, right? I think you did well in your photoshop work on the first, but it still is very bright (could be my monitor, which IS very bright).

What I can say with conviction is that I do like the second. I would want to go for a walk there!

It was indeed one of those days. Overcast yet still terribly bright. I doubt it's your monitor, the sky shows very bright on mine as well, and on the print.
