Very 1st digital picture cc Please

I know i need more practice but I am just excited about taking my first digital pic. I am a newbie but want to become a better photographer.

Welcome and congrats! You've drunk the Kool-Aid; now it's all about learning and improving. The main problem here is the unfocused and very dark foreground, which draws away from the nice sunrise/set clouds in the background. One of the first lessons that you need to learn is that the camera and the eye see things very differently and that what looks good to you, doesn't always look good to the camera. One of the real skills in photography is learning what works and what doesn't and capturing it.
